In what will be known as a historic step US President Barack Obama visited Japan to pay tribute to the martyrs of Hiroshma and Nagasika. These were the places where U.S. dropped atom bombs in the year 1945 druing world war II.
Although he became first ever sitting president of the U.S. clasped hands and hugged the survivors but he did not apologise on behalf of his country. He said he came to mourn the dead. He offered flowers, paused in momnetary contemplation with closed eyes alongwith lowered head. His tributes were followed by Shinzo Abe's tribute.
